Summary: Some of you might remember the tale of Mighty Joe Young, and all the trials and tribulations he and his adoptive sister went through to return home. Well, now that's getting the Disney treatment. And surprisingly, it's not too shabby.

History: After both the baby gorilla Joe and his adoptive human sister Jill Young were orphaned by the nefarious poacher Andrei Strasser, they grew up together mostly in secrecy from the world. In that time, Joe inexplicably grew to gigantic sizes, but remained the kind, fun-loving gorilla he was in infancy. Then civilization, and Andrei, found them again, and offered to take Joe over to the US for fame and preservation. It was all a trick by Andrei of course, and Joe would come to rather dislike life in the big city.

Final Fate: After breaking loose along with Jill and company, Joe manages to save a kid from a burning Ferris Wheel, toss Andrei into an electric transformer, and garner enough funds for his own wildlife sanctuary. He now lives with Jill again in peace.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-Joe may look like a monstrous, photorealistic gorilla, but that's only when he's mad. Sure, he gets mad a lot in this film, but when he isn't, he's a friend to everyone. A big, playful, "does not know his own strength" friend.

Trivia: -There was an animated adaptation planned after this film, but the ill-success of this film canned that.

-Baby Joe was played by Verne Troyer, one of the shortest people around, and the actor for Mini-Me in the "Austin Powers" movies.
